Great Place to Stay in Yokohama Near The Osanbashi Cruise Terminal

Looking for a place to stay before or after cruising to Yokohama? After our cruise from Brisbane to Yokohama, we stayed at Hotel Jal City.

When visiting Yokohama and looking for a place to stay that is comfortable and close to the cruise terminal, then take a look at this hotel, it might suit you.

It may just look like another big cement block, and in a way it is, but it is convenient and the service was great.

Depending on what your requirements are for a place to stay, this hotel might be ideal.

For Moni & I, it was perfect as it is within walking distance to the Osanbashi cruise terminal, not that we walked there with all of our luggage, but some people might. In fact, we did see people pulling their luggage along the roadside heading to the terminal on the morning of our cruise check-in. (It’s that close).

As for the hotel itself, it’s not going to win the best hotel award, but for a good nights sleep in a clean and comfortable room, it ticks the box. It has a TV, kettle but no fridge.

A queen size bed, a bedside table, and a large desk.

The bathroom is a good size for Japan standards, with all the amenities you need. The toilet might have you confused, though, but you get that with a lot of Japanese toilets. Lol.

As for extra services in the hotel, on the ground floor is a restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

The lobby area with the reception has a couple of couches and a computer station. Wifi in the hotel was very fast, and accessible all over.

We stayed here for a couple of nights when we arrived in Yokohama by cruise ship and also for a couple of nights before leaving Yokohama by cruise ship. If you are only staying a couple of days then this area is ideal for the metro, Chinatown, cruise terminal and many sights of Yokohama.

The price did vary depending on availability, but on both occasions, we found it good value. We would certainly look at staying here again when we cruise to Yokohama next.
