The weather is not great this morning with rain on and off. We enjoy our last breakfast and looking out we can see another ship coming alongside, this one is the HAL Zuiderdam.

This seagull was huge and decided to photo bomb my shot. Breakfast was busy as everybody was up early as it was disembarkation day. The Captain and first officer had breakfast behind us, not sure why they didn’t join us, oh well. We said goodbye to Washi Washi he was everyday at the entrance to the Oceanview cafe and dished out the sanitizing gel also a great singer.

We head back to the cabin to collect our gear and then down to the Celebrity Theater to wait for the disembarkation to start. We are allowed off at around 9.20am.

A smooth process, we collect our bags without a problem even though the area is a slight bottleneck with people coming and going. Then through to customs where they ask what we will be doing for the next 50 days and that’s it. No showing of passports or any ID, very strange but hey we are now in CANADA…

The queue for a taxi is huge and we wait in line for over an hour, chatting with others. With around 4000 passengers entering Vancouver it can be expected to have some delays. Eventually we get a cab and drive for a few minutes to our digs in Granville street, HI International Vancouver, it is a backpackers Hostel. The $10 taxi fare is paid and after checking in and the room not ready, we leave our luggage and head out in to town.

So that was yet another cruise completed. Celebrity have some great deals at good prices and we will cruise again with them I just hope that the Millennium’s bench mark is not all they have to offer.
